The NBA has officially announced that Jayson Tatum, the forward for the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference, has been designated as the NBA’s EC Player of the Week.

The four-time All-Star has played a pivotal role for the Boston Celtics in the current season, achieving notable milestones, such as becoming the youngest player in Boston’s history to reach 10,000 points.

This season, Tatum has maintained a remarkable average of 30.2 points per game, 9.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and an impressive 55.0% field goal percentage.

The Celtics have enjoyed a splendid start to the season with a flawless 5-0 record, making them the sole undefeated team in the league.

According to the NBA, the list of contenders for the honor included Scottie Barnes, Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre, Tyrese Haliburton, Donovan Mitchell, Dejounte Murray, and Cam Thomas.
