Michael Malone Expresses Concern Over Jamal Murray’s Lingering Hamstring Tightness

Denver Nuggets guard, Jamal Murray, was forced to exit Saturday’s win over the Chicago Bulls during the second quarter due to tightness in his right hamstring.

Although there hasn’t been an official update on Murray’s condition, head coach Michael Malone expressed some worry about the nature of the injury, mentioning that such injuries can linger, requiring caution.

“You always worry about those types of injuries, because they can stick around for a while,” Malone told reporters .”So we have to be smart about it.”

Murray had been on the court for all of the team’s first six games, entering the game with an average of 18.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per match.

His shooting percentages stood at 43.6% from the field and 43.8% from beyond the three-point line.

The Nuggets have an impressive 6-1 record in their initial seven games, with their most recent victory against the Chicago Bulls on their home court, ending 123-101 on Saturday.

Murray scored only 2 points and grabbed 2 rebounds before leaving the court. If Murray remains sidelined, Reggie Jackson is likely to see an uptick in his playing time.
