Sacramento Kings forward Trey Lyles sustained a left calf injury during his warm-up routine before the Kings’ preseason matchup against the Golden State Warriors on October 18.
The team has conducted multiple medical examinations, all of which have confirmed that Lyles is dealing with a left calf strain.
Lyles will be absent for multiple consecutive games and has not had the chance to make his debut for the current season.
Currently, Lyles is in the process of adhering to the return-to-play protocol. Consequently, he won’t be joining the team on their trip to Houston for the upcoming game, and he will be absent for the subsequent two games against the Rockets and the Trail Blazers.
Lyles’ next opportunity to make a comeback on the court is slated for Friday when the Kings go up against the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of the NBA in-season tournament.
However, it remains uncertain how close he is to receiving the green light for actual game participation.
