Recent reports suggest that Officer Derrick Brooks, appointed jointly by the NFL and NFLPA, has reduced Kareem Jackson’s suspension from four games to two, reports Michael Signora of NFL.com
Kareem Jackson initially faced a four-game suspension without pay due to unnecessary roughness violations stemming from a game against the Green Bay Packers.
This penalty was a result of a forceful hit to a defenseless receiver’s head/neck area and repeated personal fouls that violated player safety-related rules this season.
Jackson will be eligible to rejoin the Broncos’ roster on Tuesday, November 14. The Broncos will host the Chiefs at Empower Field this weekend, followed by a bye week in Week 9. In Week 10, they are scheduled to play the Bills on Monday Night Football.
Throughout this season, Jackson has incurred several fines for unlawful hits. His ejection from Sunday’s game against the Packers was due to an illegal helmet-to-helmet collision with Packers’ tight end Luke Musgrave, and the league imposed his suspension on Monday.
