The Toronto Raptors are set to sign and subsequently waive Omari Moore, a former shooting guard from the Milwaukee Bucks, as their final Exhibit 10 player for their G League affiliate, according to Blake Murphy of SportsNet.
This transaction will take place today instead of Saturday, which means Moore will receive one day of salary while being on waivers until the beginning of the regular season.
As a result, the team’s salary will be approximately $12,000 closer to the luxury tax threshold, as noted by John Hollinger of The Athletic.
Omari Moore, a 23-year-old shooting guard, was released by the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. In July, he had signed a two-way contract with the Bucks after going undrafted from San Jose State.
The Exhibit 10 contract offers Moore the potential to earn a bonus of up to $75,000 if he spends at least 60 days with the Raptors 905, the G League team affiliated with the Toronto Raptors.
