RJ Hampton pulled his right hamstring in pregame warmups and will not play in Miami Heats second preseason game against the Spurs.

His absence adds to the growing list of Heat players unable to participate in this preseason contest, making the team notably shorthanded. His next opportunity to take the court will be on Sunday when the Heat faces Memphis.

The Heat secured Hampton with a two-way contract in September. In Miami’s initial preseason game, he came off the bench and played for 14 minutes, contributing 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

During the 2022-23 season, Hampton made 47 NBA appearances, splitting his time between the Magic and Pistons. He averaged 6.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists during an average of 16.0 minutes per game.
