76ers’, Justin Edwards Agree to a Two-Way Deal

The Philadelphia 76ers have struck a Two-Way contract with Justin Edwards, as reported by Shams Charania from The Athletic.

The Sixers are also set to sign Max Fiedler, a big man from Rice University, to an Exhibit 10 contract, as reported by Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress.com. Fiedler, along with Jones, was not selected in the 2024 draft, making them free agents without restrictions.

Jones, a 6’6” wing, had a standout junior season at Memphis, averaging 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 45.9% from the field, 38% from three-point range, and 79.7% from the free-throw line in 32 games with significant playing time.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Jones was ranked 21st on ESPN’s list of top available prospects. He previously played for DePaul and St. John’s before transferring to Memphis.

Fiedler, on the other hand, spent all five of his college seasons with Rice University. During his final season as a “super senior,” he averaged 9.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in 32 games with almost 30 minutes of playing time per game.

If Fiedler is released by the 76ers before the 2024-2025 season begins and spends at least 60 days with their G League team, the Delaware Blue Coats, he could earn a bonus just shy of $78,000.
